Player Responsibilities

 

Basketball is a TEAM SPORT and as such your team mates and the coach are depending on you to do your part in making the team as successful as possible.

It is expected that every player will adhere to the following Hurstbridge Hurricanes Basketball Club “Code of Conduct." 

  

 
             o       Your coach is giving up his/her time voluntarily. Treat them  with the utmost respect and do everything 
                               they ask, to the best of your ability.  
                               Remember  “You Play as You Train.”
 
             o        Get to matches early, at the latest 10 minutes before the advertised start time.
                                Ring the coach if you are going to be late.
                          o    If you can't play the next match, ring the Team Manager as soon as you know, so that alternative
                                arrangements can be made. 
 
             o     You must have your full uniform on match days, otherwise you can’t play.
 
             o     You must give your match money to the Team Manager before the match.
     
             o       During matches, behave in a sportsman-like manner. Do not bring disrepute upon the club, team
                               or yourself. Continued bad behaviour will result in you being removed from the court.
                               In severe cases, your membership in our Club will be discussed by the Committee.
